Welcome to the Bair Den

Hello Everyone!

Well I have finally joined the technology age! We now have a blog. I started working on this blog Monday May 12th. I was thinking that I would have plenty of time to get going on this and have a few posts up about the family and Joseph before the baby came. But Aaron had other plans.
On Tuesday I started having quite a few contractions and noticed about 3 that they were coming every 40 minutes or so. By 9pm they were about every 30 mintues. So we called the Doctor. Because we were only 37 weeks he thought it might just be false labor. He told me to relax and get a good nights sleep. But to go to the Hospital if they got up to 6 an hour. So when we went to bed at midnigh (we had finally given up) they were about 20 minutes apart.
I woke up about 1:45 in the morning to use the restroom and noticed that I was still having contractions. So I timed them and realized that they were about 6 minutes apart. So I woke up Stephen and told him we needed to head to the hospital. We also called our friends the Bakers and warned them that we would be on our way soon to drop off Joseph. Joseph is very good friends with their daughter Anela. We finally got him there about 2:30 or so and got checked into the hospital about 3 in the Morning.
While at the hospital we found out that I had tested positve for Strep in the birth canal so I needed 2 doses of Penicillin before I could have the baby. So they put the first dose in at 5. At 6 I decided that I had enough pain and asked for an epidural. We were waiting to have the baby until after 9 when I could have the second dose, but again Aaron had another plan. By 8:30 he was ready to come out so they had to hurry and give me the last dose so he would be medicated. About 9:05 we started pushing. After about 3 pushes they realized that he was going to be coming out quickly and had to have me stop so they could get everything ready. After about 4 more pushes he was out at 9:11 am on May 14th. He weighed 6lbs 14 oz and was 20 inches long.
He is absolutly beautiful. His big brother Joseph loves him and is dealing well so far. But hasn't been in the same house for long so we will see how long that lasts. We have put a gallery of photos up. Here is the link.
I will post more later.
