Getting ready for Christmas

This was our fisrt year with someone in school. Jospeh has loved preschool and has just grown so much.
They had a very fun Chirstmas celebration.
His teacher's sister made all the students elf boots in their favorite colors. They had bells on the toes. So cute!
Here is Joseph showing off his blue and orange elf boots.

They got to preform some songs for us.
Santa came with a large gift for each student.

Here is Joseph and Aaron with Miss Diaz the teacher's aide. They really love her. The teachers in the class have not only been wonderful to Joseph but are very sweet to Aaron too. They take time to say hi to him and ask him about what he is doing. Sometimes when it is time to pick up Joseph from school Aaron won't want to go. Until I tell him that he will get to see Miss Diaz and Miss Barrett.

Aaron and Joseph wit Miss Barrett. She is a wonderful teacher!
I could not get both boys to look at me at the same time. This is the best of the bunch. But at least they got to see Santa.
Both of the boys love to read. Here is Joseph reading the book to Aaron. He can not read yet but he can tell you his own story about what is happening baised on the pictures. His storys can be better than what they have in the book.
Here we are getting the house ready for Christmas. The best part of that is putting the tree up. The boys love to put the ornaments on.
So I think all the rest of the post is pictuers of the boys decorating the tree.
Joseph was really going for those high branches. We only have a 4 foot tree and put it on some boxes to give it some height. But that is all the tree we want for now. It's nice and compact and fits well into our space.
Aaron gets the low branches. We would find up to 3 ornaments all on the same branch. Aaron didn't get the idea of spreading them out.
Here is the last shot of decorating the tree. You can see Mommy in the background handing ornaments to the kids and keeping the breakable ones out of their reach.

Family Photos

We also went and had family photos taken at Memory Grove.
Thank you to my Father-in-law for taking the family shots.
Here are some of the best shots. Stephen did photoshop a final one that we had printed but I can't find the file so he can add it if he wants to .
Joseph is growing up so fast.
Aaron is such a happy boy.

Horray!
Suprise!

They are so cute!
The fam.
Aaron had a hard time holding still.
Joseph found something interesting. I think it was the flash.
I guess Aaron found something funny.
The one Stephen fixed is very similar to the one above.
So just picture one like that with all of us smiling at the camera. :)

Michaelis family photos

We were lucky enough to have my family down for an early Thanksgiving.
We are lucky enough to have a wonderful photographer in the family and we love to take family pictures.
Here are some of the kids.

Halloween

For Halloween each year we go to the party that Stephen's parent's ward puts on.
The boys love going there and seeing their Grandparent's and the cousins that come.
They love playing the games there and doing the crafts.
Here is Joseph doing the fishing game.

Aaron and Mommy fishing.

They also had a cake walk. Aaron needed some help walking around the numbers.
Joseph concentrating on the numbers of the cakewalk.

Look Mommy! I got cake. Aaron is in the background already starting to eat his.
Here is our Superman! He loves his costume and still wears it around the house.

Joseph is a Race Car Driver. The costume discription is actually Pit Crew. But we called it a race car driver because that is what he wanted.
Mommy took the boys to the Halloween fair they had at the Galivan Center in Salt Lake. Not much there beyond booths that want to sell you stuff and a couple of little games. But the boys had fun.
The best part was that there was a train to ride.
Daddy took the boys Trick or treating in the rain that night. They got lots of candy and had a lot of fun.
